what is Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese healing art. Also known as Art of the Creator it focuses on harmonizing the body’s energy system to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It involves the gentle application of the hands on specific energy points located throughout the body, called “Safety Energy Locks.” These points correspond to meridians or pathways that flow throughout the body, similar to acupuncture but without needles.

At its core, Jin Shin Jyutsu works by releasing blockages in the body’s energy flow, which can often result in symptoms such as pain, stress, fatigue, and emotional imbalance. By lightly touching or holding these energy points, I help you restore the body’s natural balance, allowing energy to flow freely, facilitating healing, and boosting vitality.

A session is scheduled for an hour but we will also talk some before and after the session so I schedule 1 1/2 hours of time for your appointment. One session can be helpful for a small disturbance, usually a group of 2-3 sessions is needed to release a stronger pattern in the body and sometimes for chronic issues more sessions will be needed.  You will lay on a table fully clothed for your session.  It is a comfortable and relaxing environment.  From time to time I offer shorter sessions if you just want to give it a try but a full session is recommended for optimal results. Similar to massage- a shorter session will help a little, but a full session will give you lasting results.
